The correct use: metal protective paint 3in1

If you work with 3in1 varnish, you will find out on this page how to use the varnish correctly.

You need:

Preparation

  • The processing and drying of the 3-in-1 paint should not take place below 10°C; temperatures between 15°C and 25°C are ideal. Ensure that the paint materials, substrate and ambient temperature are 10°C or higher during processing and drying and curing time.
  • Remove all sources of dust to ensure that no particles get into the paint.
  • Take off the areas that should not be coated with painter's tape.
  • Stir the paint well before use.
  • Sand the surface before use and ensure that it is clean, dry, grease-free, silicone-free and wax-free. Remove any loose old paint or rust before use. Avoid soapy cleaners or abrasive cleaners as these contain fatty acids which are not suitable for removing grease.

Processing

  1. A primer is not necessary. If desired, dilute the 3in1 varnish with approx. 5-10% thinner.
  2. Use a paint roller, brush or cup gun to apply the paint. The choice of application method depends on the size and shape of the object to be coated as well as the desired surface structure. A paint roller works well for large areas, while a brush works well for detailed work. A cup gun is ideal for quickly and evenly coating large areas.
  3. We recommend one or two coats, depending on the desired coverage and color depth. Let the paint dry for about 4 hours before you can paint it over after about 24 hours. Overpainting too early can damage the paint film and impair the quality of the coating. After an average of 5 days, the 3in1 metal protective paint has achieved its full resistance.
